What is Microblading?Microblading is a fairly new technique of cosmetic tattooing in the U.S. but has been around for a long time in Europe and Asia. This is a Semi-Permanent cosmetic tattoo lasting 12-18 months. This technique creates thin, precise and beautiful strokes to imitate our natural brows. Thus, providing the perfect solution to create natural looking brows. This is achieved by a small hand tool with very tiny micro-blades, giving the perfect hair-like strokes every time.
What is Microshading? This is also known as Ombre. The only thing that makes this similar to Microblading is that they both Semi-Permanent and are created by hand, with a hand tool. What makes this different is it offers a soft powdered effect. In French, the word “ombré” means “having tones of color that shade into each other, graduating from light to dark”. We will create a soft powdered effect starting near the nose bridge, working from light to dark, towards the brow tail. There are no hair strokes in the technique.

Tylenol is OK. * Do not tweeze, wax or dye brows for 48 hours. MUST BE OFF ACUTANE AND/OR RETIN-A FOR 1 YEAR. NO EXCEPTIONS . AFTER
* Apply a thin layer of Aquaphor immediately after the procedure. * 4-5 hours after the procedure, client must cleanse the treated area once with distilled or boiled water at room temperature. Use a gauze or cotton ball/pad. Wipe as clean as possible. * Avoid direct shower water on the treated area after the procedure for 10 days. * Do not apply anything on the treated area. No water, makeup, lotions, pencil or creams for 10 days. * No direct sun, intense sweating or tanning for 10 days. Sweat is salt and can prematurely fade the treated area. * Do not rub, scratch or pick at the treated area. Let any scabbing or dry skin naturally exfoliate off. Picking can cause scarring. * No swimming until the treated area is completely healed. Salt water/chlorine can cause the pigments to fade. * Avoid sleeping on the face for 10 days or until fully healed. * Apply sunscreen whenever you venture outside during the day. After the 10 day mark (SPF 45 or more). * Wear sunglasses that are large enough (and don’t embarrass you) to cover your tattooed eyebrows. * Apply lotion after you wash your face, either before bed, or in the morning to keep your perfect eyebrows moisturized. After 10 days. * Never use exfoliates or scrub over the permanent makeup areas. Before submerging in any water (pool, spa, lake), rub petroleum jelly over your brows. After 10 days. WHAT TO EXPECT DURING THE HEALING PROCESS 1-3 days immediately after the procedure, you'll be in the healing stage. You may have swelling, redness skin sensitivity, minor bruises and/or slight discomfort. These are all normal side effects. You may take over the counter pain relievers. 4-7 days after the procedure, the top layer of the skin will start to become flaky, itchy and may start peeling off. Do your best to avoid picking or itching. Let them heal naturally. If they become too itchy, just lightly tap on the area. The new exposed pigments will eventually soften and settle into an appropriate natural appearance. To help aid the healing process, you may apply a thin layer of antibiotic ointment or aquaphor at night before bed. |
